AF-BY214x825(5) is a five-opening hot press with a nominal force of 250 t. Its platens are heated by steam or hot oil.
The press has 6 heated platens measuring 2500×1300×42 mm with 5 working openings between them, so 5 layers of product are pressed in one cycle. Pressure is generated by a 25 MPa high-pressure pump.
Steam or hot oil is used as the heat carrier, so the press works together with a steam boiler or thermal oil heater at the plant. The machine measures 4200×1700×2500 mm. The multi-opening design suits woodworking plants that produce plywood, boards and faced panels in large volumes.
