Toilet Paper Production Stages

  • Making paper from waste paper: used paper (waste paper) is mixed with water and turned into paper pulp. The pulp is then formed into thin paper on special equipment, dried and wound into a large roll.
  • Rewinding the large roll into small rolls: special equipment rewinds the paper into small rolls and applies tear lines (perforation) to their surface.
  • Roll cutting: the small rolls are cut to standard sizes.
  • Packaging: finished rolls are placed in bags of 4, 6 or 12 pieces and packed.

Pulp Preparation Equipment

High-consistency pulper

Purpose: Breaks down and mixes waste paper, separating out large contaminants such as stones, nails, and pieces of plastic and leather. This machine produces a clean, uniform pulp for papermaking. It uses little water, while the mixture stays thick. Total power: 11 kW Volume: 1.5 m3 Quantity: 1 set

Vibrating screen

 

Purpose: Screens out large contaminants from the pulp — stones, nails, pieces of plastic and leather, and similar impurities. This machine screens the pulp by vibration and lets through only the fine fraction suitable for further processing, while the remaining coarse waste is discharged. Total power: 1.5 kW Volume: 0.5 m3 Quantity: 1 set

Disc mill (disc refiner)

 

Purpose: Refining the pulp to a finer state, thoroughly separating the fibers and bringing the mixture to a uniform consistency. This machine further grinds the pre-crushed and cleaned pulp into finer particles, making it soft, smooth and of high quality — which is essential for producing good paper. Total power: 7.5 kW Quantity: 1 set

Agitator (mixer)

 

Purpose: Continuously stirs the pulp so that it does not settle and stays uniform. The agitator keeps the pulp in motion, preventing it from settling and keeping it evenly mixed. Total power: 5.5 kW Quantity: 1 set

Bleaching unit

 

Purpose: Washes the pulp several times and treats it chemically to bring it to a white color. This unit washes and bleaches the darkish or yellowish pulp obtained from waste paper, preparing it for the production of high-quality, bright white paper. Total power: 1.5 kW Quantity: 1 set

Pulp transfer pump (pulp pump)

Purpose: Transferring the pulp from one machine to another and keeping it circulating (i.e. conveying the pulp between all systems). These pumps move the pulp through pipelines and ensure its continuous flow throughout the production system. 6-inch pump – 7.5 kW – 1 pc 3-inch pump – 3 kW – 3 pcs

Sand remover (desander)

Purpose: Removes light impurities and sand particles from the pulp. Through rotation, this unit settles out the fine sand, soil and other light debris remaining in the pulp, cleaning it further. Volume: 400 L Quantity: 2 pcs

Horizontal mixer

Purpose: thoroughly mixing the pulp with water to ensure a uniform thickness of the produced paper. Power: 3 kW Quantity: 2 pcs

Centrifugal screen (centrifuge)

Purpose:  Rotating at high speed, the machine separates residues (contaminants) from the pulp through a special mesh. The clean pulp passes through the screen and is sent on to the next stage. Total power: 5.5 kW Area: 0.35 m2 Quantity: 1 set

Dispersing mixer (disperser)

Purpose: This is a mixing-type machine that breaks down powder, pigment or other substances in a liquid into fine particles and distributes them evenly (disperses them). This process improves the quality of the mixture and makes it stable. Total power: 0.75 kW Quantity: 1 set

Electrical control cabinet

Quantity: 2 sets Gas-fired boiler Purpose: generates hot steam, which is fed to the paper dryer to carry out the paper drying process. Quantity: 1 pc

Paper Making Machine

Machine Components

1) Wet paper forming section:
  • Stainless steel cylinder mould, 700 mm in diameter and 1100 mm wide – 1 pc
  • Press roll, 200 mm in diameter and 1100 mm wide – 1 pc, rubber-covered
  • Rubber hardness: 40 degrees
  • Adapted to the vat in which the paper fibers are suspended
2) Drying section:
  • Heated drying drum, 1000 mm in diameter and 1100 mm wide – 1 pc
  • Pressure roller, 280 mm in diameter and 1100 mm wide – 1 pc
  • Pneumatic pressing system, metal doctor blade for cleaning the paper
  • Rubber-covered, hardness: 90 degrees
3) Electric motors:
  • For the drying drum – 4 kW
  • For winding the paper into rolls – 0.75 kW motor
4) Drive and control section:
  • Modern control system with automatic speed adjustment
  • Each section is controlled separately

Auxiliary Equipment

  1. Pressure water pump: increases water pressure for washing the forming wire and filter felt
  2. Water spray device: for cleaning the felt and wire
  3. Vacuum pump: draws excess water out of the wet paper
  4. Suction box: works together with the vacuum pump and is used to extract moisture during papermaking.
  5. Steam hood over the drying section: collects and removes vapors
  6. Exhaust fan, 400 mm in diameter: removes steam during drying
  7. Papermaking felt: carries the wet paper through the machine
  8. Special wire for the cylinder mould – 2 pcs

Toilet Paper Production Equipment

A large roll of paper is loaded into the machine. The machine forms the paper into 1–3 plies and winds it as a long strip into small rolls. At the same time, a decorative pattern (embossing) is applied to the paper surface.

This saw cuts the small rolls produced by the machine above into pieces of the required size. If you are making toilet paper, the rolls should be cut 10–12 cm long; if you plan to produce paper towels, they should be cut longer. The machine can be used for toilet paper both with and without an inner core.

Multi-pack packaging machine

The final stage, as always, is the bundle packaging machine, which delivers the product to the customer in a convenient form. Depending on the requirements of buyers in the region where you are based and plan to sell your product, packs of 2, 4, 6 or 8 rolls are possible. When ordering packaging bags, remember to include holes that make them easy to carry by hand. This adds extra convenience for customers buying your product. The packaging bag comes ready-made and closed on three sides. The product is then placed in it by hand, and the top is securely sealed using the machine below.
