About the equipment
AF-MX5117B is a spindle moulder for profiling the edges of wooden parts. It mills stock up to 120 mm thick with a 4–5 kW motor.
The spindle diameter is 35–45 mm (optional), and the spindle can be raised by 100 mm, so the cutter height is set to suit the part. Spindle speed is selected from three steps. The minimum profiling radius is R45 mm, so curved parts can be machined as well. The profile is defined by the cutter shape, so changing cutters lets one machine produce different profiles.
The table measures 1125×665 mm, the machine's overall dimensions are 1127×665×994 mm, and it weighs 420 kg. It is designed for joinery and furniture workshops making doors, windows, furniture fronts, skirting boards and other profiled wooden parts.
