Cobs are fed into the machine, where the spindle turns at 1100 rpm and strips the kernels from the cob. Motor power is 0.75–1.5 kW. The machine can be driven by an electric, petrol or diesel engine, so it also works in the field where there is no power supply.

It measures 780×360×790 mm and weighs only 18 kg without the motor, so it is easy to carry. An output of 300–500 kg per hour lets a small farm shell its harvest faster than by hand. It suits farms and smallholdings growing corn, as well as small grain procurement businesses.
