About the equipment
AF-SD12 is a stationary brake lathe that machines brake discs to restore a flat working surface. Machining accuracy is 0.005 mm, for discs up to 48 mm thick.
The lathe turns the brake disc at 98 rpm and removes a thin layer from the working surface. After machining, surface roughness is Ra 1.5–2.0. Rotor diameter is 381 mm, and the main motor is rated at 0.75 kW (1 HP).
The machine runs on 220 V, weighs 350 kg and has a working height of 1 m to 1.25 m. It is designed for car service centres and brake repair workshops: discs with vibration or uneven wear can be machined and reused instead of replaced, as long as their thickness allows.
